Safety and Quality
PCi staff remains on the forefront of product safety and compliance issues, leveraging our 35 years of experience in the promotional products industry. Our concern for product safety is reflected in our sourcing standards for the merchandise we sell. In addition, our dedicated staff monitors changes in safety regulations in order to keep our clients’ brands protected.
We recognize the Quality Certification Alliance (QCA) as the promotional product industry’s standard for safety and social compliance. QCA-accredited suppliers must operate wide-ranging compliance programs, submit to regular independent third-party audits, and abide by rigorous manufacturing regulations. Furthermore, QCA’s two-year re-certification cycle requires accredited vendors to maintain up-to-date systems and policies.
We’re committed to maintaining a safe and socially compliant supply chain. In order to ensure that our company’s values – and yours – are represented in our sourcing decisions, we aim to work with suppliers who are QCA accredited.
Our team has achieved Product Safety Awareness status through training and education requirements in the PPAI Product Safety Awareness Program. Our ongoing training and education ensures we stay ahead of the curve on issues that impact your business needs.
All of our products are CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) and Prop 65 compliant.
Global Procurement and Compliance
PCi understands the importance of competitive pricing, product quality, product safety, social compliance and an ethical supply chain.
We build global partnerships the same way we build client partnerships, by establishing a relationship built on mutually understood goals and objectives. Our global procurement team has wide-ranging supply chain experience including product safety, social compliance, manufacturing processes and logistics. We put our suppliers and products through vigorous testing, inspection and quality controls to assure our customers the products we source meet their requirements and all global and local regulatory compliance.
At PCi we train our team on product safety awareness and work with our manufacturer partners to help ensure that they are product compliant. All of our projects adhere to strict corporate, social, and product safety regulations.
Supplier factories must pass specific international standards for both manufacturing and social accountability before we consider partnering with them. Our global partners work with us through all aspects of product procurement including accredited third party inspection for social compliance, factory audits and product testing. This ensures our clients can be confident in vendor practices knowing they are purchasing product that adheres to strict safety standards.
PCi adheres to the highest employment standards, and we demand the same from our supply partners. PCi and the factories we deal with do not exploit employees. Wages, benefits and working conditions exceed all applicable laws and regulatory requirements. We do not work with factories that employ child or forced labor. Where appropriate, we conduct personal and/or third party site inspections to ensure our exacting standards are met.
